The B. Tech (Civil Engineering) programme at Amity University Dubai gives students the opportunity to build their careers in the construction industry by providing them with the knowledge needed to become an expert in the civil engineering field. The state-of-the-art Civil Engineering lab at the university gives students the opportunity to realise their theoretical knowledge.
This programme gives students the opportunity to build their careers in the construction industries by providing them with the knowledge needed to become an expert in the civil engineering field. Students will learn how to develop a professional and ethical attitude, as well as effective communication skills and how to be a valuable team member to solve complex engineering problems.
Students will learn how to use mathematical, scientific and engineering fundamentals to identify, formulate and analyse engineering problems. Students will learn how to collect, analyse and interpret data obtained from research and experiment using modern tools and techniques. Students will understand the importance of life-long learning and why it is essential for a successful professional career. They’ll also be introduced to professional ethics and codes of professional practice.
All students will develop good scientific and engineering breadth that will allow them to comprehend, analyse, design, manage and innovate solutions for real life problems while keeping in mind restrictions such as technology, economics, environment, logistics and other resources. Graduates will learn how to understand the global climate and relate civil engineering issues to the broader social, legal, cultural and environmental contexts.
