Taiba Hospital was established in 2002 to be the only private healthcare provider in Kuwait specialized in one-day surgeries. In 2006, Taiba acquired a license to operate as a full-fledged hospital, becoming the first private hospital in Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate. In 2010, Taiba Hospital was accredited by the Joint Commission International (JCI), which was maintained for three consecutive terms. Taiba Hospital is recognized as the first ‎private hospital in Kuwait to be accredited by ‎MOH, UNICEF and WHO as a Baby Friendly Hospital. This ‎recognition is owed to Taiba Hospital’s commitment ‎in promoting breastfeeding and the wellbeing of ‎pregnant women and newborn babies‎. In 2017, Taiba Hospital received accreditations from ‎the JCI for two of its Orthopedic programs: ‎the first ‎internationally for the Lumbar Decompression & ‎Fixation ‎Program, and the first in the Middle East for ‎the Knee Replacement Program.‎
